Artist Workshop: Drawing Facial Features
Sep

Artist Workshop: Drawing Facial Features

Artist Heidi Clinite will lead a workshop for teens and adults in developing skills on how to draw facial features. As artists, we known that drawing facial features can be some of the most challenging parts of making art.

Does one eye match the other? How far apart should they be? How do you draw a nose so it doesn’t look like a cartoon? How should ears align with the other features? How do you draw teeth to look like they are inside the mouth and not on the same plane as the lips? Heidi will answer these questions and more!

Mary Lane will be our model, allowing us to draw different angles of her face.

Bring your sketchbooks and pencils. We have paper and pencils if you do not. You are also welcome to brings some of your artwork you would like to discuss the facial features of.

This workshop is just $25/person. Contact the CA director, Ms. Brooks, at 478-474-8457 to sign up. There is a 6 person limit, if there is a waiting list, we will have a repeat workshop the same day 4-6pm.

Heidi Clinite has been making art her whole life, professionally for 15 years. She studied Figure Drawing and Painting at The Art Students League of New York.
