Heidi’s Book!

Heidi self published her first book with the help of her Patreon Members and book format graphic designer Mary-Frances Burt!

Sassy Susie Sasquatch Sets Sail is a heart-warming picture book of wood-burned illustrations written as a fun tongue twister!

Silly Li’l Susie bravely faces obstacles in the wild, strengthening her ingenuity and self-reliance, risking her life for what’s most important to her.

This is Heidi’s first book, written and illustrated by her. It is available at Ember Maypop Shop and on Amazon. An e-book and an audiobook will be released soon! Join her Patreon group to be part of the process!

“I like being weird. Weird is all I’ve got. That and my sweet style.” -Maurice Moss, The IT Crowd

Artist Bio

Heidi Clinite, weirdo extraordinaire, has many talents & endless creative ideas. She makes imaginative works of art in acrylic paint on canvas & walls, wood-burned crafts & fine art. As a surreal artist, Heidi's whimsical designs expand your imagination. She challenges herself to capture the realistic details of animals in magical environments. She's not afraid to mix media & styles, explore graffiti & henna tattoos, research cultural designs or reference historic artists in her work.

Heidi is also a lifelong gardener. For the past couple of years, she has been developing a couple of community gardens and has started to expand into private garden design! Soon, you will be able to walk into her paintings and smell the flowers!

As a viola player, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Music History & Music Theory at Mercer University. She has recorded on several albums & performed at numerous weddings & special events.

Her checkered past includes apprenticing with a blacksmith & at a gold leaf atelier, studying figure drawing at The Art Students' League of New York, building sets for Mercer Theatre and Form & Space of NYC, & working as a touch-up artist for Backdrops Fantastic, among other odd jobs.

You can find Heidi hustling around town developing art happenings, painting murals, participating in many community events & craft fairs, working on commissions, creating & displaying art at local businesses.

she never looked nice. she looked like art, & art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.
